Holme Valley Camping & Caravan Park

I have stayed a few times here. Nicely situated to walk into Holmfirth nice clean toilet and shower block. Nice little play area, little fishing pond, shop. The only thing I would like to see is power hook ups in quiet field. It is a good site for children, and they need to blow off steam and have fun!! But of you want to be in the quiet area, there is no hook up.

Stayed in the willow cabin by the duck pond for 5 nights with hubby and loved our stay. Very peaceful and quiet with walks near by through woodland, beautiful landscape and views. Check-in was quick and easy. We were welcomed on our arrival to the cabin by the mallard ducks who also enjoyed breakfast every morning and supper in the evening with the duck food bought from the onsite shop. Cabin was immaculately clean, and shower was easy to use and control temperature which was great as alot of sites we've been to don't have temp control and shut off after 10 seconds. The onsite shop has all the essentials needed. Download just eat app and you can get food delivered and pick up outside reception. Only ideas I would put forward regarding the cabin is maybe a shelf in bathroom as the sink wasn't big enough to hold toiletries, and maybe small shelves either side of the bed to hold a book or camping light so you wouldn't need to get in / out of bed to turn light on / off, and an inside sweeping brush to sweep cabin floor, there is a hand brush and pan provided which came in handy to keep floors free of debris from our walks, and an outside brush is provided to keep deck free of debris. Cabin heater kept the cabin lovely and cosy aspecially being November. The fridge is silent at night being in the same room lol but no freezer compartment though. We didn't need to visit the toilet / shower facilities as we had an onsuite bathroom in the cabin. Everyone that we met were always friendly and chatty and willing to help when needed. We would definitely return as we also love camping in the summer and staying in a cabin during the autumn, winter and spring months and this site is perfect, we would definitely recommend this site.

Super friendly and a great campsite with various types of pitches for caravans, motorhomes, tents. Some are in fields with lots of space for kids to run around and lots of things to keep them amused too. Some of the pitches are amongst the trees and some are even around the fishing lake. An eco toilet block in one part of the site, clean, warm and well maintained.
